Who are we? Our name describes us:
- "Maranatha"
- This New Testament expression means "Our Lord, come." We have
included it in our name to indicate that we look forward with great anticipation
and eager longing to the return of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. At that time, God will make everything new, and the misery of this present world will be wiped away forever (Rev. 21:1-5).
- Canadian
- God has placed us in this beautiful country with the
calling to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, to live as respectable
citizens and to promote the coming of His kingdom.
- Reformed
- The great Reformation of the 16th century is an important part of our history. During that time God caused
His church to return to the fundamentals, namely, by Scripture alone,
by faith alone, by grace alone and by Christ alone. We seek to uphold this Reformed heritage in all humility and faithfulness.
- Church
- We are a gathering or community of people who believe in, worship, and
witness to the Triune God, namely God the Father who has created us,
God the Son who has redeemed us and God the Holy Spirit who renews us. As members of the congregation, we also endeavour to help, encourage and comfort each other thereby demonstrating what it means to live together as the body of Jesus Christ, that is, His church.
