Motivation As the apostle Peter writes, God's people "may
declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his
wonderful light" (1 Peter 2:9). Since we know ourselves what a
blessing it is to be called into the hope-filled light of God's
salvation, as a congregation we wish to share the knowledge of Christ's
work of reconciliation with others. Our Home Mission Committee
helps us in this by organizing various activities. You are most
welcome to participate in them.
Activities
- Thursday Morning Women's Bible Study with Children's Story Hour
During
the regular school season, every second Thursday, from 9:30AM -
11:00AM, a group of women come together to study the Bible in the
basement of our church. If you have young children at home, you
may certainly bring them along. Someone will tell a story from
the Bible to them. There will also be a craft for them to
make.
Approximately
four times a year, members of the congregation join with our pre-teens
and teenagers in some kind of physical activity such as hiking, biking
or skating. People from the community are invited to participate
as well. We always begin with a brief explanation of a passage of
Scripture and prayer.
During
the summer vacation time, usually for about one week, there is a
Vacation Bible School in our church. Children will be taught some
of the main truth of the gospel from the Scriptures. There will
also be various activities and crafts for everyone to enjoy. For more information visit our events calendar or the VBS page here.
From
time to time we have other special events which may be of interest to
you. These will appear on our events calendar which you can find
here.
For further information about any of these opportunties please contact us by phone or email. Our contact information can be found by clicking "Contact Us" on the menu on the left-hand side of the screen.
